Which altitude and layer of the atmosphere do large passenger planes fly at? What is the outside temperature?

This is refering to a long distance trip. For example, Toronto(yyz) to Venezuela.Which altitude and layer of the atmosphere do large passenger planes fly at? What is the outside temperature?
u will usu fly between 30,000 feet - 37,000 feet altitude. outside temp depends on climate where u fly over of course, but is always WAY colder than on the ground. usually the temp @ high altitude ranges from 40* F to -50*F!! SOO that means if u get window seat on long flight, u will most always get colder halfway into the flight and toward the end than at the start. bring a blanket or grab 1 or 2 AS SOON AS u board the aircraft. there arent always blankets available to each person. they run out sometimes. think about your needs way in advance and u will have a much better flight. the SAME goes for food. buy some snacks at least at the airport news stand and put in your carryon before u get on that long flight since u may not like the food or it may not be enough food.

i've flown over 10 million miles if this helps.Which altitude and layer of the atmosphere do large passenger planes fly at? What is the outside temperature?
I love YYZ
